Today I am the bearer of two bits of good news. First, we’re closing our 2013 #Litter2Twitter survey today and we’ve had a brilliant turn out of results. Second, this means that we can stop pestering you on Twitter to fill out the survey and diversify our tweet content again!
Here at BDO Local Gov we can barely contain our excitement as we begin to sift through the results and today we’ve decided to reveal some provisional stats in the hope that you will share our joy.
Drum roll please…
• Out of all our respondents just 1 Council is not using social media
• 70% of respondents felt that there was either lots of confusion or a very limited understanding as to how and why social media should be used in their local authority. This has gone down from 82% last year.
• 24% of organisations are investing more than 3 FTE days a week in social media. This has increased from 7.7% last year.
There are lots more results to come and we will share them with you as soon as the report is published. Thanks to everyone who took part and helped out. As always, if you’d like to share any social media related expertise or would like to make sure you get a copy of the report – please don’t hesitate to get in touch by tweeting us @bdolocalgov.
